SJM Turf & Civil redeveloped the oval behind Knox Shopping Centre, delivering a modern facility that improves safety, playability and accessibility for the local community.
The entire subgrade was reshaped to the new design. Works included a new centre cricket wicket, full perimeter fencing and a 110,000-litre water storage tank integrated with a fully automated irrigation system.
More than 5 km of Agflex drainage was installed, together with a complete electrical upgrade incorporating new light towers and a switchboard. The playing profile was formed with 7,700 tonnes of sand and finished with 15,698 m² of Santa Ana Couch turf.
